Pozza di Fassa (1320 m.) is situated in the Avisio valley’s widest point and it includes the small villages of Pera and Moncion.
The built-up area is close to the Vallaccia mountain, Cima Undici and Cima Dodici, Buffaure and the Monzoni group.
By setting off on foot from Pera di Fassa, or using the chair-lifts or shuttle service it is possible to reach the striking Gardeccia area which is surrounded by the Catinaccio group, the Vajolet towers and Larsech.
The Buffaure ski area boasts enchanting views as well as quiet ski slopes which take only a moment to reach the Ciampac ski area in Alba di Canazei in the upper Fassa Valley.
The Alloch ski slope is situated in the Meida area, right in the middle of the town and is lit up at night time hosting many important sporting events as well as the national ski team’s training sessions.
The mountain pastures above Pozza, the alpine valley of San Nicolò, are beautiful and every summer, still to this day, the cows are taken up to there for the season. For a few years now the “Festa ta Mont” is organized in this valley, a weekend of gastronomy, folklore and Ladin culture.
