Canazei (1460 m.) is the tourist resort ‘par excellence’ of the Valley. Together with the small surrounding villages of Gries, Alba and Penìa it is famous mainly for its strategic position in terms of the Dolomite Passes – Pordoi, Sella and Fedaia.

During summer the town is filled with a special atmosphere thanks to some events such as “Te anter i tobié” and the “Gran Festa da d’Istà” which liven up village life with music, dancing, local dishes and traditional costumes.
